Yellow Barn Winery is owned and operated by the Surdo family,
we opened our doors in May of 2006.
Built in the early 1800's.Once a horse farm then a dairy farm now a winery,
this barn has seen it all.
The winery sits on 5 acres and is surrounded by 500 acres of farm land. The Barn where tasting room and gift shop are located, has most of the original details.
Come visit our tasting room, take a walk on the grounds and relax in barn style setting
You have come to the right place.
Do you know that many of the world's excellent wines are made from grapes that
you may not have ever heard of before?
Here at Yellow Barn Winery you have the opportunity to taste wines
made from those grapes.
Yellow Barn Winery is the only winery in Watertown, New York. Watertown has one of the most challenging climates to grow wine grapes in the United States. We can have snow in late May or June and frost in early September. We also can get as cold as minus 40 degree F.
Take a look at or photo gallery below. We are planting new Grapes, Frontenac Gris, Bianna and Marquette.
